During the recent meeting of Doctors under the Nigeria Society of Neonatal Medicine, an advocacy visit was carried out to the Emir of Gwandu HRH Alhaji Muhammadu Illiyasu Bashir. The doctors were led by Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu and thanked the royal father for his support on health issues whilst seeking even more support. The Emir who makes it a duty to include health issues in Friday sermons welcomed the group to the palace and stated it was his duty to improve the welfare of his people. Relevant Gifts from both sides were exchanged as usual.
The visitors include NISOMN President Prof. Chinyere Ezeaka, present and past presidents of Peadiatric Association of Nigeria Prof. Austin Omoigberale and Dr. Ngozi Ibeziako, Prof. William Ogala, Unicef Chief of Health Dr Sanjana and her team etc.
