Medicaid Cancer Foundation collaborating with Roche Nigeria has held a clinical meeting to update health workers in the Northwest states of Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi on vital updates in Breast Cancer. The meeting was held in Kalgo Medical Center, Birnin Kebbi on 14th September 2019.
This meeting accredited with 5CME points was designed to bring together Surgeons, Radiation & Clinical Oncologists, Histopathologists, Oncology/Theatre Nurses, Laboratory Scientists and Pharmacists in the region to foster greater understanding of available treatment options and encourage cross team collaborations in clinical practice. The activities were led by resource persons from leading institutions some of which were Halima Okafor (Breast Cancer Navigator), Prof. Modupeola Samaila, Dr Jummai Jimeta-Tuko, Dr Mohammed Ambursa, Dr Ramatu Hassan, Dr Aliyu Malami and Dr Debo Omikunle.
At the meeting, Founder MCF, Dr Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, appreciated the speakers for the content of their presentation which she described as very informative. She also extended her appreciation to all participants for attending the clinical meeting which lasted from 9am to 6pm. She assured them she would use her status to ensure more of such trainings with partners like UICC, ASCO etc.
