PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Kebbi State Government is to consolidate on its plan to establish an ethanol and sugar factory in the state to harness the abundant high quality sugarcane in Shanga and Koko/Besse Local Government Areas as well as in other places.
Government Abubakar Atiku Bagudu announced this, while interacting with sugarcane farmers from Tungan Amadu and Tungan-Mai ramu this Sunday.
He told the farmers that, the state Government has already signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), for the establishment of ethanol biofuel from sugarcane and sugar factory.
The Governor said appropriate machinery would be provided to sugar-cane farmers for the extraction of sugar related products in the area.
