Press Release: SALLAH MESSAGE - Bagudu urges Muslims to uphold virtues learnt during Ramadan
Kebbi State Governor and Chairman, Progressive Governors' Forum, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has urged Muslims to uphold the sterling virtues learnt during the Ramadan fast
Bagudu, who made the urge in his message to the Muslims in the state and other parts of Nigeria, in commemoration of the Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the Ramadan fast .
Bagudu enumerated such noble virtues to include : Piety, perseverance, philanthropy, respect and love for one another .
The Kebbi State Governor said that, the Ramadan fast provided an auspicious moment for reflecting on the essence of life and that of being real brothers' keepers .
He said :" The Month of Ramadan was a rare opportunity that the Almighty Allah affords any lucky Muslim.
" It was a month of intense worships, absolute Piety and pity for one another .
Its a month of equality and collectively .
" To be blessed and honoured to be alive to witness the month is an invaluable opportunity and none should discard the lessons learnt in it.'
Bagudu further appealed to Nigerian Muslims , to use the period of the Sallah celebrations to offer fervent prayers for sustainable peace, unity and socioeconomic prosperity of Kebbi state and Nigeria,in general.
He also called for such prayers, for divine plausible solutions to the recurring security challenges in the state and Nigeria, as a whole .
Bagudu noted that, all Nigerians had the Civic and moral obligations, to positively contribute towards making the Nigerian project a huge success .
The Chairman of the APC Governors' Forum further stated," We have no any other country to call our own than Nigeria .
" It is therefore incumbent upon all of us, irrespective of religious, ethnic and political differences, to work assiduously towards ensuring the success of the Nigerian project ."
Bagudu pledged to continue to do his utmost best to safeguard the lives and property of the people of the state .
Similarly ,the Governor vowed that, his administration will leave no stone unturned,to further better the lives of the people of the state .
