Kebbi state Government sponsored 40 veterinarians to 56th annual national Scientific Conference in Lokoja Kogi State

The conference was organized by the national body of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) as a way to update knowledge of Veterinary practice to meet global standards and sharing ideas about new findings and challenges of emerging and reemerging animal diseases as well as zoonotic diseases which can infect humans through animals. It is on record that administration of Gov. Atiku Bagudu had been consistently sponsoring Veterinarians for annual conferences since its inception under his able leadership as follows;
Port Harcort 2015, Enugu 2016, Kano 2017, Sokoto 2018 and now Kogi 2019.

It can be recalled that in 2018 National body of the NVMA gave the Governor award of Excellence, in recognition of his kind gesture to the veterinary Profession. No wonder Veterinarians from Kebbi State are up to date in terms of disease prevention, treatment and control, to the effect that Kebbi containment and control of equine influenza outbreak in Kebbi State at an event in Lafia, Nasarawa State. The Chairman of NVMA Kebbi State Chapter, Dr Nuhu Hussaini Shehu, on behalf of all Members of the association, applauded the efforts of His Excellency Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for his steadfastness in ensuring conducive atmosphere for Veterinarians in the State. He further appreciated the State Government for ensuring that all members of the association are up to date in terms of Veterinary Knowledge and practice.

The General Secretary of the association, Dr Ahmad Muhammad Aliyu, promised to continue to deliver improve the veterinary service in the State. The secretary also, on behalf of all members of NVMA Kebbi State Chapter appreciated guidance and support of the Secretary to the State Government, Alh Babale Umar Yauri, mni and the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Animal Health, Husbandry and fisheries/Ag. Head of Service, Tanko Musa Magaji, mni most sincerely.
